Asymptote will be screened in the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia
Asymptote is an animated short film that is an expression of mankind’s distorted connection between love and sexual relationships, causing emotional and psychological loneliness through physical intimacy. Asymptote is a metaphor used to represent the journey of a man who confuses love with sex, the dilemma of disconnection caused by the desire for connection. There are many options around him, and he wants to have them all. Eventually, this distorted understanding of love drags him into loneliness. Like the asymptotic curve that approaches a goal very closely but extends to infinity without attaining it, he will desire and consume everything he can reach, yet fulfillment always remains just beyond him.

I discovered clear film strips during my master's education. These cameraless animations have been done on 16mm and 35mm transparent film strips, just for the sake of creating satisfying animations.
