Aybüke Yılmazer is a 2D animator and motion designer working across traditional and contemporary methods. Alongside her author-driven animated films, she actively works in motion graphics design, creating visually engaging and concept-driven moving image work. Simplification and abstraction are distinctive qualities of her artistic style.

Born in Turkey, Yılmazer grew up experiencing multiple branches of art such as painting, dance, music, and theater. Art became her way of communication and guided her interest in design. Yılmazer received her bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Bilkent University in Turkey, where she learned the principles of effective visual communication. Seeking to introduce a temporal dimension into her design practice, she developed an interest in moving images. This pursuit led her to earn a master’s degree in Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her projects are enhanced by interknitting cultural differences from the Turkish and American contexts she has experienced.
